White Villages of Andalusia
Typical for Andalusia are the white villages, the Pueblo Blanco. The typically white homes are made white again every spring by the residents. As a result, the sun reflects on the houses and it is always nice and cool inside. Because the houses are painted every year, the white villages always look beautiful. The picturesque villages are almost always a bit higher in the mountains. As a result, they used to have a better view and could see any enemies approaching.
Now the white villages are a feast for the eyes and definitely worth a visit. There are a lot of white villages. We have selected a few for you.
Ojen
The Oakhill apartment is located in the municipality of Ojén. The picturesque white village located in the mountains of the Sierra de las Nievas is small and has little more to offer than its beautiful location and atmospheric whitewashed streets. The only attractions are the Mill Museum or Wine Museum. The main church and square are well worth a visit, if only to sit with a coffee on one of the terraces of a local restaurant and watch the local children play by the pretty fountain.
